As we approach the final days of the 2009 OEP we ask that you review the following reminders and critical success-factors that will facilitate processing of your submitted applications and ensure your clients' smooth transition to the Coventry Medicare product of their choice. Our priority is members' complete satisfaction.
Receipt of Applications for April 1, 2009 Effective Date
- You (the agent, broker, Coventry partner) must receive, sign and date all applications before midnight, March 31, 2009 in order for members to receive an effective date of April 1, 2009. Remember, you must sign and date each application as soon as you receive it from the beneficiary. This includes applications that are mailed to you.
- All applications for an April 1, 2009 effective date must be delivered to the Coventry Enrollment Department within 48 hours of your receipt of the application. That requires that applications must be in-house at Coventry on or before April 2, 2009. It is very important that you adhere to this requirement, which directly impacts our ability to process the application in accordance with CMS guidelines.
- We strongly recommend that you carefully review every application and the required Enrollment Checklist before submission to Coventry. This will reduce unnecessary delays or incomplete applications, which may necessitate a Request for Information letter.
