Contracting Specialist

Job Summary: 

The Contracting Specialist ensures insurance agents get appointed to sell an insurance carrier under Empower Brokerage through proper documentation and validation of credentials per insurance agent.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • None.

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting insurance agents through phone calls and/or e-mails.
  • Sending contracting instructions, links, and forms.
  • Reaching out to insurance agents to complete outstanding requirements.
  • Updating notes in databases both internally and externally.
  • Create and update insurance agent profiles
  • Meet any given deadlines.
  • Sending letters.
  • Assists insurance agents and insurance carrier reps.
  • Responds to e-mails.
  • Updates insurance carriers PowerPoint instructions.
  • Update internal system with term/active status.
  • Attend bi-monthly and monthly company meetings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Procurement and contract management expertise.
  • Proficiency with contract management software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 

Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or GED.

 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to make phone calls.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
