Moody’s History
Moody has been working in the insurance world since 2000. “I worked with the State of Texas in two different departments: Department of Aging and Disability, which is now part of Texas Health and Human Services (HHS), and Community Outreach for Driscoll Health Plan and Molina Healthcare.”
Moody also spent time working in sales with Molina Healthcare, Humana and Prominence Health Plan. When asked what she likes about the insurance career path she shares, “I love the fact that I am focusing on helping clients solve their problems.” As a Sales Director, Moody has the opportunity to train agents to meet their client’s needs by assessing their situation and solving problems. “I believe that if you serve your client’s needs, they naturally want to do business with you.”

When it comes to working with Empower Brokerage, Moody believes it’s the focus on agent prosperity that makes Empower so successful. “They prove this by offering a wide range of products to help build a perfect portfolio, ongoing training sessions (Local Offices & Empower Brokerage University), retail opportunities (Walmart program), as well as no-cost leads and quoting tools.  All of this is provided so the agent remains competitive in their markets.”
How Moody Can Help You
With her experience as a former state employee, Moody is familiar with different types of programs are that are available, such as the Medicare Buy-In Program, Personal Attendant Services, and Star Plus Waiver. “I can provide that information to agents and consumers and teach them how to access the programs and guide them through the application process.” Moody would also like to make a difference by teaching agents how to advise their client’s on what insurance policy best suits their needs. “It’s important to problem solve unexpected events and circumstances while also maintaining their source of revenue.”
Future Vision For Empower in the Rio Grande Valley
Moody plans to expand business in the Rio Grande Valley through different opportunities and events. Whether participating in community or recruiting events, carrier training, agent appreciation events, free licensing classes or her weekly Coffee & Conversation, Moody wants her area to be known as an industry leader. “I want agents to recognize their purpose and inspire them to believe they can make a difference in people’s lives.”
