Agent Spotlight – Angela Davis

For Angela Davis, President and CEO of Eagle Group Associates, insurance isn’t just a career—it’s a calling passed down through generations. What began in the 1970s as her father’s small, local insurance office has grown into a trusted Oklahoma City agency serving families across decades, milestones, and major life events.
Angela joined the family business about ten years after her father opened the doors. She later stepped away to work in human resources, but the pull of the agency—and the opportunity to continue her family’s legacy—brought her back. Today, with more than 30 years of experience as an insurance advocate, she leads Eagle Group with heart, dedication, and deep Oklahoma roots.
“It’s about helping people,” Angela says. “Making them feel good about their decisions, walking with them through situations, and helping them make choices that protect their families and themselves.”
That philosophy is the heartbeat of Eagle Group Associates. The agency offers a full range of life and health insurance solutions—including Medicare, ACA plans, annuities, and supplemental coverage—and currently supports eight active agents. Angela is especially proud of her team’s consistency, professionalism, and the relationships they’ve built over the years. Some clients represent three generations of families, ranging from newborns to centenarians.
Angela places immense value on connection. Bringing clients into the office allows them to see the people behind the policies—real Oklahomans committed to serving their community. “It shows them we’re here to stay,” she says, “and here for them throughout their lives.”
That commitment extends into the local community as well. Eagle Group hosts annual public events featuring a variety of vendors and partners, and the agency has built strong relationships with local providers who frequently refer clients. Professional growth also remains a priority. At Empower Brokerage’s Legacy Blueprint Roadshow, Angela appreciated learning more about ICHRA opportunities and how they could benefit her small business clients.
Angela’s partnership with Empower Brokerage began over a decade ago with life insurance products, but the support and resources provided were so beneficial that she gradually moved all lines of business under their umbrella. She also speaks highly of Ben Marquez, Regional Sales Director for Oklahoma, whose enthusiasm, marketing assistance, and training support have strengthened her team’s success.
When she’s not helping clients or leading the agency, Angela pours into her community by teaching Bible study classes and hosting women’s group gatherings. Family remains at the center of her world—many of her relatives live close by, and they gather often. Her brother, John McPherson, is also a successful Eagle Group agent. Their father, the founder of Eagle Group Associates, recently celebrated his 90th birthday after a well-earned retirement.
For new agents entering the field, Angela offers simple but powerful advice: “You need to have a heart to really help people and expect it to be a long-term process, not just a short-term goal.” Insurance, she explains, is about relationships, trust, and a genuine desire to educate and support clients.
“As long as you have that mindset and truly love helping people,” she says, “you’ll do well in insurance.”
