Cigna Offers to Pay Bill for COVID-19 Testing

With a call to better navigate the stressful times of the Coronavirus, Health company Cigna offers to pay the bill for COVID-19 testing. In a statement that can be found on their website, the company wants to support your health, well being, and peace of mind. Through May 31st, Cigna has offered to pay the bill for COVID-19 testing. Claiming they will waiver customers out-of-pocket cost for testing related visits with in-network providers. This testing can be done at a doctor’s office, urgent care clinic, emergency room, or even by virtual care.

How Cigna Is Lending a Hand During COVID Outbreak?

As Cigna offers to pay the bill for COVID-19 testing, they will also make it easier for those with immunosuppression, chronic conditions or who are experiencing transportation challenges to be treated virtually through in-network physicians. Cigna has even gone out of its way to make sure clients are able to receive their medications without worrying about refills or stocking up through delivery. This offer extends to customers throughout the US who are under Cigna’s employer/union-sponsored group insurance plans, globally mobile plans, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and the Individual and Family plans.

“We are relentlessly focused on keeping our customers and communities safe,” Cigna president and chief executive officer David Cordani said. “We are taking all precautionary safety measures and making it easier for our customers to protect themselves against COVID-19 by accessing medical care virtually, over the phone, or in person.”
