Reminder: Submitting Small Group (1-50) New Business Documentation Online

In October 2016, BCBSTX announced that the use of the ACA Small Group Enrollment Tool, a feature accessed within eSales Tools, would be required to enroll new small group (1-50) business, starting with January 2017 effective dates. Already used by most producers for its ease of use, the online enrollment tool helps speed up new business processing for small group employers with 1-50 employees.

IMPORTANT: After June 1, paperwork received by mail will no longer be processed.

The enrollment tool provides one source of communication for case submissions, streamlines enrollment processing from quote to Welcome Letter, accepts required documentation, and accelerates case approval generally within 24-48 hours of submission. Plus, ID cards can be generated up to two-times faster!

New and Improved: DocuSign® Integration with the Enrollment Tool

Now completed and signed DocuSign documents (saved as a DocuSign Envelope ID PDF file) may be imported into the ACA Small Group Enrollment Tool, reducing time to complete the enrollment process by eliminating the need for repetitive data entry.

Resources to using online tools include:

Important Reminder: DocuSign Requires the Complete Producer ID for Data Import, Including Leading Zeros (1-50 Groups)

Completed and signed DocuSign documents, saved as a DocuSign Envelope ID.pdf, may be imported into the ACA Small Group Enrollment Tool. The integration of DocuSign with the tool reduces the amount of time to complete the enrollment process and eliminates errors by mapping DocuSign data to online entry fields.

IMPORTANT: Producers must include their complete ID number, including the leading zeros, using DocuSign to integrate with the online enrollment tool. For example, the producer ID number “000012345” would be entered instead of “000012345.”

If the complete producer ID is not entered, DocuSign will not be able to import data to the online enrollment tool.

For additional information, see the updated Reference Guide with step-by-step instructions. The guide includes an appendix that displays the mapping fields. Information on technical support is also provided.
