Creating the Perfect Vendor Booth

Before and during the enrollment period, it is critical that you put yourself and your brand in front of prospective clients. One of the best ways to do that is to set yourself up at an event, flea market, shopping mall, grocery store, etc., with a vendor booth.

Securing a spot to set up shop is only the first step. Now, you must ensure that people actually become drawn to your booth. Ultimately, the goal is to increase your brand awareness and, maybe, garner some prospective clients. And the only way to do that is by having them come up and talk to you.

A few ways exist to ensure this happens, and it’s all a combination of various factors. Continue reading to learn how you can create the perfect vendor booth.

Focus on Location

Getting a good location for your vendor booth is paramount. If people can’t see you, how will they notice your presence?

Usually, the best spots at an event get taken quickly. So, you must know the events you want to attend in advance. This strategy will allow you time to learn the vendor process and determine if there’s a way to get one of the better locations for your booth. However, it is important to keep in mind that these spots may cost a little more. But with all the potential business you’ll get, it’ll all be worth it in the end!

Make Yourself Known and Stand Out

While this may seem fairly obvious, the event attendees need to know who you are and what you do. That means displaying your name and your mission or services. And not merely displaying these characteristics but showcasing them in an obvious way. People should know your name and what you’re about right when they look your way.

On that same note, you want your booth to stand out. At any event, you probably won’t be the only one in your industry in attendance. That’s going to be your direct competition. And there’s even more at stake when it’s an in-person event because people can walk past your booth and know that there is another similar business a few steps away.

So, standing out may include employing eye-catching visuals, interesting lighting around your booth, and even some music and games.

Don’t Show Up Empty-Handed

If there’s one thing we know for sure, it is that people love free stuff. Whether you offer snacks, drinks, or other prizes, event attendees always appreciate a giveaway. And they will go out of the way to talk to you if they know they will receive something in return. While it doesn’t always guarantee a sale, you are still creating that awareness and making that connection.

A best practice for giveaways is to brand everything. Throw your logo on some pens, hand sanitizers, notebooks, and water bottles. People will take these items home, and now, your business is present in their day-to-day lives. Many websites exist where you can order these giveaways, but 4imprint is our favorite.
